News and Events
KWS is pleased to announce that internationally-acclaimed Chicago artist Andrea Harris will create several original portrait paintings to be shown and published for the first time in Political Paramours: Thirty Women Whose Dalliances Changed History. KWS is pleased to have the opportunity for an artist of Ms. Harris’ caliber to contribute to Political Paramours—a work we expect will be seminal in the field of women’s historical studies.
Ms. Harris’ artwork is centered on observations of nature and humanity. Because each of us is an element of society, her work also strives to examine the cultural role of the individual—especially as seen in current and in historical events. The dichotomy between what the individual is and how he/she acts is central to Ms. Harris’ work.
